LONGING TO VISIT "PLACES I'VE NEVER BEEN"
Designer Jennifer HIll, a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Art, wants to visit SAvannah. Two planned trips have failed to materialize, but this self-professed 'doodler and day dreamer' has connected to the city in another way.
Her line of note cards and calendars titled "Places I Have Never Been - Drawings of Imaginary Vacations" - features delicate drawings that result from 'hearing or reading something and instantly imagining what that place or thing must be like, and then the images start to appear."
Her image of Savannah - on note cards and desk and wall calendars - features magnolias blossoms and Spanish moss. Text on the back cover says: "Wander the 2 squares under drips of Spanish moss while smelling the sweet magnolias."
From her home base in Jamaica Plain, Mass., other cities Jennifer longs to see include Kemi, Finland; Bordeaux, France; Papeete, Tahiti; Marrakech, Morocco; Wellfleet, Mass; and Tequila, Mexico.
Her 2008 desk calendar is $16; her wall calendar $30; and her Savannah note card, $3.50. To order, visit her website at www.jhilldesign.com
