POSITION: Intern

Studio Description: Design studio in Jamaica Plain, MA focused on the studio's stationary line and graphic design services. Studio produces the award-winning stationary line "Places I Have Never Been", featuring drawings of designer Jennifer Hill's imaginary vacations. The line includes calendars, note cards, notebooks and limited edition prints and is sold in stores throughout the country. Graphic design services include web/print design for clients in the restaurant, beauty, fashion and art markets.
Internship Description: This internship is perfect for a designer who wants to learn not only about design, but also about running a small business and selling/producing a product line. The intern will aide in research and development of new products as well as designing marketing and trade show materials for the stationary line. Our intern will also work on the following projects for our design services clients: email blasts, website development and maintenance, restaurant menu design, branding materials design, marketing material design. The opportunity to continue the relationship with paid freelance work once the internship is finished is available.
Required Skills: Must be proficient in the following Mac based software: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver. Helpful to know Microsoft Office, Printmaking (Silk Screening), Bookbinding
